Mouldings launch Exciting New Doors"
One of the UK’s
largest manufacturer of quality doors for kitchens
and bedrooms, wrapped mouldings and accessories,
Trade Mouldings, will use the occasion of KBB
2011 to launch a stunning new collection of acrylic
doors called Odyssey.
The Odyssey doors have an 18mm MDF core laminated
on the face with a 1mm acrylic surface and edged
with a matching banding applied with the latest
laser technology that gives an entirely seamless
join.
The Odyssey colours
on show at the Excel Centre will be gloss black,
white and cream with further colours and edging
options planned for later in the year.

have sourced a high grade acrylic for the surface
material that gives the gloss finish a distinctive
definition which is crisp, flawless and has an
immediate fascination for anyone viewing and using
the kitchen or bedroom. To make this product the
exciting new development that it is Trade Mouldings
have become the first manufacturer in the UK and
Ireland to invest significantly in the groundbreaking
new laser edgebanding technology which allows
the edge to form a join that appears seamless
with the face of the door and, for the first time,
avoids the inevitable glue line that accompanies
existing edgebanding solutions. Another important
advantage is that the Odyssey doors differ from
existing acrylic doors which are made with solid
acrylic and is very expensive by comparison.
Alongside the
stunning new Odyssey doors, Trade Mouldings will
show new vinyl colours and stock doors for the
membrane pressed collections. These will be: Amalfi
Cream – a gloss shaker; Keswick – an olive shaker;
Mayfair Mussel – an in-frame effect door.
For made-to-order
doors Trade Mouldings has introduced new colour
options: Stone Grey and Dakar (smooth matt finishes)
along with gloss finishes in Aubergine, Sand Beige
and Ice Green.

says that the new stone Dakar, Olive and Mussel
finishes in smooth matt give a painted effect
and that the colours combine very artistically
- for instance making an island unit with Dakar
tones goes superbly with an Olive main kitchen
section.
